ABOUT FRIENDS OF VRINDAVAN

FOV is in the forefront of all community initiatives in Vrindavan, working vigorously on many environmental issues including restoring River Yamuna to the ancient ghats, cleaning, greening, and instigating water harvesting and conservation measures.

The NGO is a community enterprise initiative focusing on enviro-regeneration and care based on spiritual values which are deeply ingrained in the cultural traditions of Vrindavan.

Vrindavan, a pilgrimage town, is set in the cultural region of Braj, covering an area roughly 50 miles in diameter at the demographic heart of northern India between Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. It is situated on the banks of the Yamuna River and is known as “the place where cows roam” or Krishna’s playground.
